Art-o-Mat news

I am now the newest Art-o-Mat artist!!  Yea me!!  I'm so excited!  Now I have to make 50 little critters, package them and mail them so they can start putting them into machines around the country!
So if you see an Art-o-Mat machine look for my stuff or find another artist to support.  They are the coolest machines and "Don't go around artless."

art-o-mat hopeful

I sent in my submission to become an Art-o-Mat artist.  Hopefully I'll hear from them soon and then I'll be a knitting maniac!
I first ran into an Art-o-Mat machine at the Exploratorium in San Francisco.  I'm hooked!  They are so cool!   And I really hope to be able to join their long list of fabulous artists!!
I sent them a mermaid and a dinosaur and some black and white pics (out of color ink) of some other tiny mochimochi that I've made.  Hopefully they'll like them.

I don't have a picture of my dinosaur.

Hats in Etsy store

I just opened an Etsy store.  So far I only have some of my sci-fi hats in there but I am working on expanding.

Back in business...so to speak

My test worked!  I've tried to post a few times and had no luck so I'm glad.  Now I can start posting again!
Since I last posted I've been busy moving from Seattle to the metropolis of Suisun City, CA.  My husband got work in this area so...  We've been here since Labor Day.  I've been settling in and finding a job, etc.
I have found a fabulous knitting group!  Actually, they found me.  I was having coffee and waiting for the post office to open.  So, of course, I was knitting.  A lady came up to me and asked me about my knitting.  Then she invited me to join her group that was meeting right then across the street at the local Senior Center.  I've been going ever since.  Great group of gals!  And they were nice enough to let me in even though I'm not a senior...yet.  One day I will be so...
Right now I'm working on making up a bunch of Teeny Tiny Mochimochis.  I made a bunch for my Ravelry.com Cute Critter Wars and gave them all away.  Some went to my knitting friends and co workers but most went to the Kindergarteners I help take care of after school.  It was my graduation gift to them.  Everyone has loved them.  So now I'm working on making a bunch more.  Now that I know people like them I'm going to try to get accepted as an Art-o-Mat artist and have them sold in old, retired cigarette machines around the country.  So cool!!  Check them out at www.art-o-mat.org
